Important Notice 22nd December 2021
Following the COVID-19 booster announcement from the Prime Minister on Sunday 12 December 2021, all GP practices and pharmacies are working to provide vaccinations for all eligible adults aged over 18 in line with national timeframes.
We will continue to deliver patient care and will focus our support on those most in need as outlined below. All previously booked appointments will still go ahead.

- have been contacted about booking cervical and other screening or immunisations;
- have a complex long-term condition that you need ongoing help with;
- have a serious mental illness and need support;
- have a learning disability and need medical help.
For all other things we would encourage you to seek help in other ways as described below.
Accessing our services
When telephoning, please tell us as much as you can about what is wrong so that we can direct you to the healthcare professional best suited for your health care needs.
Our priority will be to ensure you receive care quickly and might offer you a telephone, video or face-to-face appointment, arrange a home visit or refer you to another service.
Housebound patients
We will continue to provide home visits, where necessary, for housebound patients who need to be seen in person and who have no other alternative due to immobility or very serious ongoing health conditions.

About The Practice
In 1935 our practice had two general practitioners and this arrangement continued until the late 1940s. During the 1950s more doctors joined the practice as it enlarged with the development of the Hatfield new town.
In the early 1960s the practice moved its main surgery into purpose-built premises in The Common. During the 1980s it became apparent that it was increasingly difficult to provide a good service from these premises primarily due to a lack of space.
In 1988 the search for new premises began. After 11 projects we finally built our present main surgery which was completed in February 1999. We hope that we have succeeded in creating a functional yet attractive environment for patients and staff. All our facilities are open for elderly and disabled patients.
